Franchisees Show Their Passion for Heartfelt Service in Phoenix, Arizona
Firehouse Subs Franchisees across the greater Phoenix area partnered with Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to donate more than 2,100 meals to feed first responders and students in need.
- Chandler, AZ: Franchisees and Area Representatives Scott and Elisa Friedman donated 110 meals to Mercy Gilbert Hospital, 30 meals to Chandler Fire Department, 20 meals to Mesa Fire Department, 250 meals to Galveston Elementary School, 500 meals to Mesquite Jr. High School and 390 meals to Chandler Regional Hospital. The Valley of Sun United Way highlighted the meal donation for the students on Facebook HERE.
- Mesa, AZ: Franchisees Jon Krause donated 30 meals to Banner Baywood General Hospital nurses and doctors. Krause owns the Firehouse Subs Mesa restaurant located at 1616 S. Stapley Dr Ste 101
- Show Low, AZ: Franchisee Michelle Schrader donated 20 meals to the Show Low Police Department, and 30 meals to healthcare workers at Summit Regional Hospital. Schrader owns the Firehouse Subs Show Low restaurant located at 5551 S. White Mountain Rd., Ste 4.
- Boys & Girls Club: Local Boys & Girls Club locations received 472 meals across the Greater Phoenix area. Franchisee Avril Tatum donated 252 meals to feed children at the local Boys & Girls Clubs in Glendale, Franchisee Randy Sevilla donated 200 meals, and Franchisee Willis Smart donated 20 meals.
Additionally, guests of Firehouse Subs Surprise donated $1,000 to fund meals for healthcare workers. Touched by the generosity shown by his community, Franchisee Ed Cunningham matched the donation with an additional $1,000 which funded 228 boxed lunches for local healthcare workers at Banner Del Webb and Banner Boswell Hospitals that he personally delivered.
“I am proud to be a part of a community that comes together for our hometown heroes,” said Cunningham. “We are grateful for those nurses and doctors on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic and are honored to deliver meals to help refuel them.”
